But That Was Before The Beasts Came . . .

Once in the Forest all was as it should be. But that was before the Beasts came, rising from the Hellplains to Take and consume all living creatures, driven by pleasure and power.

The Cat-like Shape-Shifter who could change his form, the Wolf-like Illusion Beast who could deceive and entrance, the Fox-like Fundamentals who had the power of the elements, but worst of all was the Horse-like Equine – much more powerful and dangerous than the rest.

To combat the imbalance, the forces of nature responded with creatures born to defend the Forest. Built like a Horse, lithe as a Deer, yet unlike either, came the Unicorns.

The Wild Unicorns, who concealed themselves among the Forest trees, used their small horns for short-range attacks.

The Pure Unicorns, whose white coats deterred and blinded enemies, used their spiral horns for long-range fighting.

Together, they took on the creatures of the night, who could only be slain by a horn through the Heart.

When the Beasts retreated in their final defeat, the Wild Unicorns left for the Mountains. But it was a deception, for the Beasts immediately rose again. Despite everything, the Wild Unicorns left the Pure Unicorns to fight on alone.

Guilt turned to resentment, creating a new enemy, the sinister Progress Cult. Their objective: the Pure Unicorns’ Elimination. Now faced with two terrible enemies, all seemed hopeless. But in the Owls and Dogs the Pure Unicorns found new Allies. It is now the duty of the next Generation to carry the burden, and protect the Forest.
